2N/A
2N/AA web-based repository for distributed ontologies, models and specifications.
2N/A
2N/AAn ontology is a formal, logic-based description of the concepts and
2N/Arelationships that are of interest to an agent (user or service) or to a
2N/Acommunity of agents. The conceptual model of an ontology reflects a consensus,
2N/Aand the implementation of an ontology is often used to support a variety of
2N/Aapplications such as web services, expert systems, or search engines. Therefore,
2N/Aontologies are typically developed in teams. Ontohub wants to make this
2N/Astep as convenient as possible. Besides ontologies, Ontohub also
2N/Asupports formal models and specifications, or more generally,
2N/Alogical theories.
2N/A
58N/AOntohub aims at satisfying a subset of the requirements for an Open Ontology
2N/ARepository (OOR) and is being developed in close donnection with the Distributed
2N/AOntology, Modeling and Specification Language (DOL), which is part of the emerging Ontology, Model and Specification Integration and
2N/AInteroperability standard (OntoIOp) at OMG. For more
2N/Ainformation from this perspective, see [the Ontohub home page](http://ontoiop.org).
23N/A
23N/AThis application started at the compact course [agile web development][0] given
23N/Aby [Carsten Bormann][1] at the University of Bremen in March, 2012. The
23N/Aconcept and assignment came from [Till Mossakowski][2], now in [Magdeburg][3]
23N/Aand [Christoph Lange][4].
32N/A
32N/AInitial developers are [Julian Kornberger][5] and [Henning Müller][6].
