# 1. Getting started
1.
First of all make sure that you are running a Debian-Based System. It can be
obtained from http://www.debian.org/.
2.
You also need a running version of Python 2.4 or newer. (should be already
installed within debian) http://www.python.org/
3.
Now you need the morphix-tools. You can get them from http://www.morphix.org/.
Information about installation:
http://www.morphix.org/doc/how_tos/docbook_html/index.html

# 2. Create infrastructure
1.
Switch to a directory where all the files for the CD creation should be stored
and create the following folder:
copy - Files in this directory are mapped to the LiveCD root filesystem. If
there is a file copy/somedir/file the file is mapped to /somedir/file.
exec - All scripts in this directory will be executed at boottime.
main - This is the directory where the created MainMod will be stored.
mini - This is the directory where created MiniMods will be stored.
temp - A directory for temporary files.
2.
Get a base Mod from http://www.morphix.org/autobuilds/base/ and store is as
.\HetsLiveCD.iso. This is the base iso file with the linux kernel.
3.
Get the HetsLiveCD.xml and store it as .\HetsLiveCD.xml. You can get leastest
versions from http://www.morphix.org/autobuilds/mainmod/etch/ or
http://www.morphix.org/autobuilds/mainmod/sid/ (sid is testing/unstable).
For the HetsLiveCD I used a lightgui*.xml because this is very fast, small and
dose not need so much resources.
################################################################################
# 3. Create MainMod
1.
Open the HetsLiveCD.xml file with your favorite editor and add or remove
packages as you like.
More information on: http://www.morphix.org/doc/how_tos/docbook_html/index.html
2.
Run 'mkHetsLiveCD.py mkmain' to create a MainMod out of the xml file. This
operations takes quite a long time, so relax or do something else.
################################################################################
# 4. Create MiniMods
With MiniMods you can custimize your MainMod without changing it. You can map
files to the root filesystem of the cd (this saves a lot of ram compared to add
files to the copy folder), install packages or excecute commands befor, in or
after X.
More information on: http://www.morphix.org/doc/how_tos/docbook_html/index.html
1.
If you just want to map files to the root filesystem of the LiveCD use the
mkMiniXML.py program. Run 'mkMiniXML.py' for info.
2.
If you want to execute commands or install some packages, you need to create
for each MiniMod one NameMini.xml file, where Name stands for the name of the
MiniMod. Edit the xml file with your favorite editor.
3.
Run 'mkHetsLiveCD.py mkmini' to create for each *Mini.xml file one MiniMod.
################################################################################
# 5. Add scripts to startup
1.
Add as much scripts as you like to the exec folder. These scripts will be
executed at boottime of the LiveCD.
################################################################################
# 6. Build the ISO
1.
Run 'mkHetsLiveCD.py mkiso' to automatic creation of a LiveCD. This cperations
takes all files from copy, exec, main and mini and adds them to the
HetsLiveCD.iso.
