788N/A Zone serial numbers are just numbers — they aren't
788N/A date related. A lot of people set them to a number that
788N/A represents a date, usually of the form YYYYMMDDRR.
856N/A Occasionally they will make a mistake and set them to a
856N/A "date in the future" then try to correct them by setting
856N/A them to the "current date". This causes problems because
856N/A serial numbers are used to indicate that a zone has been
856N/A updated. If the serial number on the slave server is
856N/A lower than the serial number on the master, the slave
715N/A server will attempt to update its copy of the zone.
