Replaced all -1U and (unsigned int)-1 with UINT_MAX. It's somewhat clearer this way. Also clang's -fsanitize=integer gives runtime errors about -1U (but not about explicit casts, so no need to change (type)-1 casts).

Added array_append_zero() to write a zero-filled record to an array. Replaced (void)array_append_space() calls with it.

Marked functions parameters that are allowed to be NULL. Some APIs were also changed. The non-obvious APIs where NULL parameter was changed to "" are master_service_init() and auth_master_user_list_init(). These checks can currently be enabled only on a patched clang: http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=6786
